"Hi,
so we are in Kuwait for a few days here. Oh man is it hot. It feels like an oven. When we landed yesterday it was about 125 on the tarmac. Dry heat lol ok, its still hot. Oh did I mention the A/c in our living area went out this morning. Wooo its hot in there. Not bad though I walked to the USO center here when they opened and waited an hour for a computer. Its very slow! I saw the blog comments and the blog picture. The breakfast chow was very good, but this is mainly an army base. I hope everything is going good back in the states :)

Also - I edited the last post after it had been emailed. If you haven't seen the great picture that the Maine Troop Greeters took - stop by and check it out. www.WillinIraq.blogspot.com

Hi Will!
Welcome to the other side of the world! Thanks for your message from Kuwait. I'd spent 2 days wondering where you were, and it was nice to know. In trying to keep things normal, I discovered that you are 6,420 miles away from Chicago, you are 9 hours ahead of Chicago (8 hours ahead of Indiana) and that right now Badhdad has 61 degrees which is very close to our 63 degrees, but that your daytimes are getting up to 115 or so which is way, way excessive. Sorry you had to stand out in the heat for an hour to use a slow computer, but at least there was a way to communicate. Here's hoping the Iraqi Marine base has a/c that works and that you don't have to stand outside in a hot line waiting to check the computer! Good luck, stay safe. You're in our thoughts many times every day and we hope that things are going well for you.
Hey William,
Thanks for keeping us informed. I hope it cools down over there soon or at least maybe it will get out of the 100's. God bless you and be safe. We're very proud of you.
Love ya,
Aunt B
